Rules
1.There
will be one tournament in Seadrift, TX on August 3, 2019
to determine the 2019 5th Annual Size Matters Tournament
Champion.
(Longest Stringer Wins Championship Belt
Buckles and Bragging Rights for life! Biggest Red and Trout
split side pot entry fees and will soon be forgotten.)
2.
All categories consist of length measurements to determine
winners. In the event of a tie for length, weight will be
the tie breaker.
3.
An individual fish can only be entered into one category.
4.
Longest Stringer Category consists of up to 2 Reds, 2 Trout
and (either/or) 2 Flounder, 2 Black Drum, 2 Sheepshead,
or 2 Gafftop or any combination thereo. The stringer with
the longest total measurement of all fish combined will
be awarded the Longest Stringer. The Biggest Red will be
awarded to the Red measuring the most inches entered in
to the Biggest Red side potcategory. The Biggest Trout will
be awarded to the Trout measuring the most inches entered
into the Biggest Trout side potcategory.
5.
Only Red fish within TPWD defined slot limits are eligible
for the Longest Striner. No tagged Red fish above the slot
limit are eligible to be entered into the Longets Stringer,
but can be entered into the Biggest Red side pot. Any legal
Trout is eligible. Any legal Flounder is eligible as long
as caught with hook and line, not gigged. Any legal Black
Drum, Sheepshead and Gafftop are eligible.
6.
Entry fee is $50.00 per boat per tournament with a maximum
4 persons per boat. ENTRY FEE FOR THE TOURNAENT MUST BE
PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO START OF TOURNAMENT.
7.
Check in is between 5:00am - 5:45am on the day of the tournament.
Tournament starts at 6am.
8.
Tournament ends at 4:00pm. Teams must be in view of the
measuring station by 4:30pm or be disqualified and forfeit
their entry fee or at the discretion of the tournament director.
9.
Entry fees are due by July 4th..
10.
Meet and Greet Captain's meeting Friday at 7:00pm before
the tournament, place to be determined. Award presentation
Saturday at the conclusion of each tournament with door
prize Raffel to follow.
